the most i want out of a reef club is the shared enthusiasm among us reefers.. i love getting new corals, fish, gear, etc... the best part about the people that i know is that if someone has something i need i will usually be able to trade, buy for cheap, or in some cases have stuff given to me..
i would love some reef club meets.. i would love a local store who shares the passion for sea animals as we do... i know the store thing doesnt seem like something a forum can do.. but i beg to differ.. if we could commit individually to purchasing some livestock and supporting our local stores then we can do this..
how can we do this?? more members,.. i am gonna spread the word as much as i can.. i know of three other people locally that would enjoy this forum..
also it would be cool to one day have our own domain.. it seems that baton rouge, new orleans area is the captiol of reefville around here and i want it to be closer.. lol
i have great ideas for an awesome sight.. i sunno how well they would work out but would love to help build a site we can all enjoy.. and stretch the boundries of the "reef scene" to hattiesburg, jackson, mobile area.. and then further.. there is a gap between Bayou reef keeping/LARC and FMAS/panhandle reefers.. and we are in that gap.. we just need to fill it..
i know this post is long, but love having someone i can ask questions too, and i like being able to answer questions... i also like for info to have some shred of resourced truth or atleast be anecdotal..
looking forward to helping build a great reef club.. we need the word out to those jackson peeps.. i am meeting up with a guy tommorrow and me him, and two others are suppose to go to the coast to a fish store.. so tomorrow maybe the day we gain a couple more poeple....
