This will be my first skimmer so I am trying to get this dialed in right. How do I keep this from coming out the hole on top? If i dial it back more then the bubbles never reach the top. Also is there suppose to be water in the top of the cap?  |

the bubbles arent supposed to reach the top right away, the "dirty bubbles" will eventualy make theyre way to the top. you will have to tweak it untill you get the right amount of bubbles and water

Thats some serious foam! Some people like a wetter foam while others like it dryer. I would start with the water line in the base of the neck where the collection cup mounts and adjust from there. The wetter the collected foam, the clearer it will be. The dryer, the darker it will be and it will all stink, which is a good sign.

Steven I have my skimmer running on the dryer side. I have my bubble line about the middle of the neck that goes into the skimmer collection cup. As water gets cleaner you will get less yucky stuff so you may have to tweak it some.

As water gets cleaner you will get less yucky stuff so you may have to tweak it some. Completely correct. I've had to clean out the cup a couple times already but last night and this morning it seems to be right where it is suppose to be. Might have just been really dirty water. |
