EHEIM 3581 "Feed Air" Digital Automatic Feeder
Ordered this from Petco on sale for $44, installed a few days ago to feed flakes to my fish twice a day while I'm away at work. It is very small/compact, quiet, and works great so far.

Great! Thanks for the review, how much does it hold for food? How long does it last you?

It's pretty compact and can be set to feed up to 4 times a day. I got it set for 2 feeding a day on flakes for about 2 weeks now with plenty left to go. It was one of the highest rated and recommended products I found while researching and I have zero complaints so far.

Do you find that most of the food stays at the top of the water of that it sinks? Reason I ask is because I am interested in an autofeeder but I dont want to waste the food going down the overflow.

I purchased a floating feeder ring that sections to side of tank ($0.70 on clearance at Petco). Placed it directly under where the flakes fall. I think all the fish have an internal feeding clock because they start gathering under it before it feeds them. Works great. But yes the flakes would mostly float to the overflow. I only have it feeding in the morning at 10:30am now while at work. We feed them frozen shrimp in the evening.
