You could try algae sheets on a clip for your tang. try feeding twice a day in small amounts to see how your fish react as well as your tank parameters, specifically a huge increase in nitrates and phosphates. What is all the current livestock in the tank?

Not much yet I work offshore so when I get back I would like to add a hippo tang, and a new cleaner shrimp Are you planning on keeping the tangs for a long time? The reason I ask is because tanks getting really huge. Some over 1 foot and that will outgrow your tank. It's your tank and I won't tell you what to put in it but I would recommend to upgrade first before adding a new tang. The current yellow tang is pushing the limits now. I believe it gets to about 8 in. Tangs get easily stressed, get ich and perish. Use www.liveaquaria.com/product/aquarium-fish-supplies.cfm?c=15 as a reference guide on fish purchase. I do and I am sure others do as well. As for the food, mix up the diet. There are frozen food available for omnivores at petsmart. It is a combo of kelp, shrimp, and many more foods. You can use that as one of your feeds. I think it's around $5 for 30 cubes. So if you feed a cube a day, that will basically last you a month.

be sure to feed the tang algae sheets. you should also try pellets. works better imo.
