I know you said 14+ but I will throw this out there. I have a fluval Spec 5 gallon if she wants to go smaller.

I have a 29 gallon with a 20 gallon high custom sump with a protein skimmer all you need is sand for the refugium side, return pump, overflow box, and a light. It has a light bracket that sits on the lip of the tank. Comes with a reef octopus 90BH hanging skimmer that hangs on the refugium under the stand
