Is it normal to loose 2 gallons of water in about two days? Does this have something to do with the break in period?

very possible..ruling out any obvious leaks, there are several factors that could contribute to excessive water evap...Is the tank near an ac supply or return grill?

There ya go. When I had my old tank set up, I had no choice but to place it by the return. Yes, I had to top off more often and yes the grill didnt look so hot after the salt creep got a hold of it, but I didnt experience any temp swings due to it being return and not supply. Consider that was a 120 gallon with a 30 gallon sump. Not sure what size your tank is but I would monitor for temp swings just to be safe.

So ill have to do a ton of topping off. Already have the misses looking for a new spot in the house.

Well I am going to have to move it because I cannot invest into a good RO/DI system at this moment.
